Consulting
Directed a profitable consulting practice providing implementation services for PeopleSoft and Oracle customers. This included successful engagements for HP, Intel, Broadcom, Boeing, Move.com, Avail Medical and Trammell Crow spanning Oracle’s entire product line (Oracle eBusiness suite, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards). Responsibilities include managing a $10-15 million portfolio of customer projects, 50+ consultants, P&L management, program management, contract development and negotiation and new customer acquisition.
Founded one of the early leaders in the CRM systems integration marketplace growing the business from start up to a $10 million in annual revenue in four years. The company was profitable each year with revenue growth of 70% per year and a staff of 60+ consultants. The company completed 50+ successful engagements implementing Clarify’s CRM product line for 40+ customers including GE (multiple divisions), Borland, 3Com, Bay Networks, Nortel, Palm, Xerox, QUALCOMM and Compaq. Customer satisfaction ratings as measured by referenceable customers was perfect with 100% referenceability and as measured by concession write off was nearly perfect. We closed two acquisitions during the four years along with raising a mezzanine round of financing before selling the company to a NASDAQ traded firm.
Designed and built the customer delivery organization (professional services, operations, technical support, and education) for an early software as a services startup. This included building a 100+ person team, data center and hardware acquisition and developing a partner network of 100+ consultants. The organization delivered successful and referenceable implementations for 20+ enterprise customers worldwide in support of $30 million in first year revenue and a $200 million Series C financing round for a first generation product. Customers included BP Amoco, Cadence Design, Applied Materials and Baxter Healthcare.
